YAAAAAAY, L IS ONE YEAR OLD!!! And maybe it's just my imagination, but it almost seems like her first birthday pulled some little trigger, and now all of a sudden, she's way more grown up than she was before. Suddenly, every little cuddle, every little love, every time when she reaches for mama or grabs hold of my leg while I'm trying to do something in the kitchen...suddenly it's all so much more precious and fleeting than it was before.
We celebrated the big day with a trip to Bear Lake, where we swam and sunned and read (I finished Breaking Dawn, but that's a rant for another day) and played. Once we got home, we had chicken curry for dinner (much to our surprise, L loved it!), presents, and banana cake (it seemed like an appropriate flavor for our little monkey). Shortly thereafter, L crashed (we thought) for the night, woke up 10 minutes later (we're presuming) from the sugar high, cried for 10 more minutes, and crashed again, this time till morning.
The past year has been the most beautiful in my life out of all the others. I never could have imagined such a capacity for love in my heart, and L still manages to push its borders further and further every single day. Yay for family -- they're everything to me!

Happy Birthday to Lizzy! Can't believe she is a sassy one year old now. Time really flies by, so enjoy these fun times, and even the not so fun times. :)
Happy birthday, L! A year really flies, doesn't it? And it's so amazing how much love you feel for a little someone you've known for just a year.
I love the pic of L looking outside - she's such a beautiful baby!
Happy Birthday to L! She is a sweetie.
I'm glad you had a great day! We haven't even been to Bear Lake once this year, it sounds like you have spent some quality time there. That banana cakes sounds scrumptious, do you think I could get the recipe?
