This was wonderful. I'm glad you are doing all of this before me because I would be a wreck. This week alone has taught me that staying home while Scott gets to be "important" is not my cup of tea. I kept repeating what you told me over and over, "it is what you make it" I think you are wonderful.
Very nice post. We, too, decided that once we started our family, Mom would be the one to stay at home with the children. And once we saw our newborn baby, (at least for us) we couldn't imagine anyone else taking over the care of such a precious new spirit. And once that child became school age, we were hesitant to let the public school system dictate her course of education. So, here we are at this stage of life (nearly 4 children later) trying to do our best for our little family. Life is often chaotic, but the rewards definitely are worth it. I am blessed with a wonderful supportive and encouraging husband--I couldn't do it without him. (FYI, I use the title "Domestic Engineer" when I have to fill out paper work listing my occupation.)
